Chocodouble: A Playful Font for Creative Projects

I was working on a new line of handmade candles when I stumbled upon Chocodouble. It felt like the perfect match for my rustic, cozy label designs. The font had that whimsical charm I was looking for—something that would catch the eye but still feel approachable and friendly.

Chocodouble is a fun and aesthetically pleasing display font that brings a sense of joy to any creative project. Its playful curves and bold outlines make it ideal for anything from t-shirts to stickers. I immediately knew it would work well for my candle labels, but I wanted to test it out on other items too.

Bringing Chocodouble to Life on Handmade Products

I started by designing some mockups. First, I used Chocodouble for a set of birthday invitations. The font’s soft edges and gentle loops gave the invitations a warm, inviting feel. It worked beautifully with a muted pastel color palette and hand-drawn illustrations. I printed a few samples and tested them on different paper types to see how the font would look in real life.

Next, I tried it on some tote bags. I paired Chocodouble with a clean sans serif font for the product name and description. This combination made the design feel balanced and professional while still keeping that playful spirit. The font looked great on both dark and light fabrics, which was a relief since I sell a variety of bag styles.

I also experimented with using Chocodouble on packaging for my small batch soaps. The font added a touch of personality to the minimalist design. I used it for the brand name and a short tagline, making sure the text was large enough to be readable at a glance.

Using Chocodouble in Digital and Print Formats

One of the best things about Chocodouble is its versatility. It works just as well in digital formats as it does when printed. I used it to create printable wall art for my shop. The font’s bold style made the phrases stand out against simple backgrounds, and customers loved how it added character to their spaces.

For my digital downloads, I made sure to test Chocodouble in different file formats, including SVG and PNG. It scaled beautifully without losing quality, which is essential for high-resolution prints and web use. I also checked that the font included all the necessary alternates and ligatures to ensure it could handle any text I needed to include.

When designing for cutting machines like Cricut or Silhouette, I found that Chocodouble cut cleanly and precisely. The font’s consistent stroke width made it easy to work with, even on small stickers and intricate designs.

Font Pairing and Design Consistency

While Chocodouble is a display font, it pairs well with more straightforward fonts for body text. I often use a clean sans serif font next to it for readability, especially on cards or packaging. This creates a nice contrast between the decorative headline and the functional information.

For a more elegant look, I’ve also used a simple serif font alongside Chocodouble in wedding stationery. The pairing gives the design a classic yet modern feel, which is exactly what I was going for with a rustic-themed event suite.

If I want something more casual, a handwritten font can add an extra layer of charm. It’s always good to test different combinations to find the one that feels right for your project.

Choosing the Right Use for Chocodouble

Chocodouble shines when used for short phrases, names, titles, or decorative wording. It’s not meant for long paragraphs, but that’s where its strength lies—it adds visual interest and emotional appeal to key elements of your design.

I’ve used it on product tags, boutique signage, and seasonal craft items like holiday tags and Christmas cards. It always brings a smile to people’s faces and makes the products feel more personal and unique.

Before selling any physical products, templates, or digital downloads that use Chocodouble, it’s important to check the font’s licensing. Make sure you understand what you’re allowed to do with it, especially if you plan to use it commercially. I always double-check the file formats, multilingual support, and available styles to ensure everything meets my needs.

Whether you're creating handmade items, designing printables, or building your brand identity, Chocodouble offers a delightful way to elevate your projects. It’s a font that feels like a trusted friend—playful, reliable, and full of character.
